Q: How long will my appointment take?

A:  For a comprehensive exam, our goal is to have you finished in one hour.

 

Q: How long before dilation wears off?

A: 2 to 4 hours, depending on which medication is required.

 

Q: How long will I have to wait in the reception area before I see the doctor?

A: Our goal is to begin your pre-exam procedures within 10 minutes of your appointment time.

 

Q: Am I supposed to wear my contacts when I come in for my appointment?

A: Yes, you can wear your contacts.  Please make sure to bring your glasses with you as well.

 

Q: What does my insurance cover for glasses? Contacts?

A: Every plan is different; it is best to contact your insurance plan and check.

 

Q: What does an eye exam cost?  

A: If you have insurance that may cover your eye exam, you can call your insurance company before you arrive for your appointment to find out how much your plan covers. You can also call our office the day before your exam and we can give you an estimate.

 

Q: I have no insurance. Do you offer self-pay discounts?

A: If you do not have insurance, we offer a 20% discount for exams, to be paid at time of service.

 

Q: What type of eye problems do you treat?

A:  All of our Doctors are trained and very experienced in treating a variety of eye issues, including eye exams, contacts and glasses, dry and ocular allergies, eye injuries, eye infections, and other issues.

 

Q: Can I be put on a cancellation list?

A: Yes. We’d be happy to call you if an opening should occur.

Monday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Tuesday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Wednesday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Thursday 10:00 am – 6:00pm

Friday 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

Saturdays- By appointment only

 

 No appointments needed for optical just check in at front desk.  Optical tends to be busiest late in the day.

 

Q: My child is under age 18.  Can I drop them off for their appointment, or do I have to stay with them.

A: Our Doctor’s prefer to have a parent or guardian with the child during the exam so an accurate assessment of symptoms can be discussed at that time.
